With ONLY A FEW coveted spots left on our October OTE Sports Training Camp in Girona, here’s why you should start thinking about your autumn cycling holiday now and join us in Girona.

ONE: Awesome Climbs

From short, sharp climbs to gentle mountain roads, located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Girona boasts a unique mix of great ascents.

The renowned climb of Rocacorba is a must-ride merely to tick off the to-do list. A favourite for most is Els Angels for its rewarding views at the summit.

However, our ride leaders have some lesser-known ascents up their sleeves – where you’ll no doubt spot the odd pro or two suffering their regular hill reps session.

TWO: Coastal Routes

We’re pretty sure the coastal loop to the Costa Brava will become your favourite ride of all time. We’ll ride along the blue ocean coastline with stunning sea views throughout.

That said, this ride is not a summer holiday. It’s an undulating coastal route that will test you from start to finish. Reaching our cafe stop (a favourite little bakery full of cycling pictures from local pros who have stopped by) you’ll certainly deserve your cake.

THREE: Lakeside Lazing

Whether it’s our day 1 leg loosener or our rest day roll, you’ll love chilling lakeside at Banyoles. Used as the location for the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, the lake is a hotbed for the sports of swimming and rowing.

It’s also a great place to grab a cafe con leche and dangle your sore legs in the cool, clear water.

FOUR: Cafe Culture

If you love cycling, no doubt you love coffee too?! Girona’s cafe culture is another reason this city has become a great base for cyclists to meet pre- and post-ride.

Ex-pro cyclist Christian Meier, who lives in the city, has opened La Fabrica which serves great coffee and food. He also owns Espresso Mafia, which is a great spot to grab an excellent coffee; when we were last in Girona he was just setting up his own roastery next door too.

There’s also a visit to Coffee and Greens and Federal cafe to fit into the trip too!

FIVE: Tapas and Cervezas

Girona also offers a huge selection of great eateries. That’s why we’re just offering Bed and Breakfast rates for our October training camp in Girona.

Instead of dinner in the hotel, we’ll be booking tables in the heart of the city. Weather you want to explore alone or join us for a communal dinner, you’ll eat well in Girona.

SIX: Hassle Free Holiday

You can fly directly to Girona from most UK airports and the transfer is super-quick, so you’ll be out on your bike in the sun in no time.

The OTE Training Camp in Girona is a hassle-free end-of-season cycling holiday. We sort your airport transfers, our ride leaders are on point and even you nutrition is on hand in the form of OTE Starter Packs. So all you need to do is rock up and ride your bike this autumn.
