It’s been an extremely busy summer for our OTE Fuelled pro athletes. From the very beginning of the year they’ve been toeing the line in training, and over the past few months they’ve been rewarded with many outstanding results. It’s hard to know where to start, but we’re going to dive right in with triathlon.
First up, India Lee’s love affair with France continues in 2025. After both a win in 70.3 Tours Metropole, Loire Valley and her first ever full Ironman victory at Les Sables D’Olonne- Vendee earlier in the year; Indie returned to the T100 podium in the French Riveria this past weekend. A speedy swim into consistent and calm bike and run saw Indie sail through the field and finish an impressive 3rd.
Also out racing at the T100 in France was OTE Fuelled Georgia Taylor-Brown. In what is a relatively new distance for GTB, she found herself leading the race until 8km into the run. She then drifted back to still finished a respectable 9th. With still so much to learn over this longer distance, the wild card Taylor-Brown will be one to watch in future events. What made her results even more impressive was that just weeks before she was over in Chicago, duking it out for podium places in the Super Tri event! These two events are like chalk and cheese in our eyes, yet GTB proves that when in form she can turn her hand to pretty much anything.
Over to the men and we enjoyed being course side when Kieran Lindars took a hard-fought 4th at Leeds Ironman but more importantly secured his place at the Ironman World Championships in Nice later this month.
Over on the MTB scene, after a steady start to the year, Cannondale Factory Racing have now start to light things up. After collecting a whole host of National Champs jerseys, they came to Andorra World Series with real intentions and it landed them with some impressive podium positions. But it was the most recent round in Les Get where it all clicked for the Cannondale men. A win on the Friday night in the XCC for British Champ Charlie Aldridge closely followed by his team mate Luca Martin. Then French Champion Luca came back on Sunday to take the victory in the XCO. Firmly answering the question of when, not if, he’d get his first World Series victory.
Sticking on two wheels but now on-road, the women of Alba Road Team have continued adding impressive results to an already stand out year. Not only have they been making a name for themselves out in Europe, they can now boast having the National Criterium Champion! Yes Kate Richardson showed again what fine form she’s in this year and sprinted to fine victory on the sea front of Aberystwyth back in June.
Since then the team have been ever present at the front of the British National Road Series, collecting a number of podiums along the way. Big news also came from the team recently, announcing one of their star talents Lauren Dickson has been picked up by none other that World Tour Team FDJ-Suez for the 2026 season. A huge nod to a team that has always been committed to developing Scottish female talent.
And finally from two wheels to two feet. We have another OTE Fuelled British Champion in Hannah Nuttall who successfully defended her title by clocking 15:46.90 over 5k. This successfully booked her ticket the World Championships in Japan this month alongside Team New Balance Manchester team mate Elise Thorner (Steeple Chase).
It’s been quite a Summer and with World Championships in Ironman, MTB & Athletics looming; the fun isn’t over yet. We’ll keep you posted. And finally a huge well done all our OTE Fuelled athletes across all sports, disciplines and abilities; we’re proud to be a part of your sporting journeys.
