Beta Alanine is ideal for anyone participating in explosive sports (such as weightlifting) or those involved in prolonged endurance exercise. This supplement has been shown to help increase muscle carnosine which in turn acts as a buffer for intense training. Increasing carnosine levels through Beta Alanine supplementation may delay fatigue during endurance exercise or translate into lifting more weights and increasing total work output.
We recommend a 2-5g dose per day divided into 2 servings and taken with food. The neutral flavour of this small doses means this could be part of your daily smoothie or porridge.
How much do I need to use?
We recommend 4g of Beta Alanine per day but split into 2 x 2g servings. The idea is to slowly load the amount of beta alanine in your system. It can take 3-4 weeks to feel the results (although some may feel the benefits straight away), so if aiming for a specific event, start taking the product in advance.
Beta Alanine is a non-essential amino acid. We can get naturally occurring in our diets mainly from meats such as chicken, beef or pork. However, the amount ingested is pretty small, and so the supplement can be used to boost this.
