Chocolate Anytime Protein Banana Bread

Banana bread is a firm favourite home bake. You can enjoy with a cup of coffee, pack a slice for a big hiking adventure or fuel your next long endurance ride with it.

But how about making it healthier and more functional, but keeping the delicious flavours we all know and love. Introducing our Chocolate Anytime Protein Banana Bread! The added protein can help with your post exercise recovery needs, along side reducing some of sugar and fat content for a cleaner eat!

Ingredients

  • 4 very ripe bananas, peeled and mashed
  • 140g Greek-style yogurt
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1  tsp vanilla
  • 150g plain flour
  • 110g of chocolate Anytime protein powder
  • 3⁄4 170g caster sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1⁄2  tsp salt

Preheat the oven to 180°C & line a loaf tin.

Combine the bananas, yogurt, butter, eggs, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl, and blend until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, protein powder sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet banana mixture, and stir until fully incorporated.

Scrape the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake on a low shelf in the oven for about 50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the bread comes out clean.
