Athlete Announcement 2023 – Ambassadors & Athletes — OTE Sports

Maddy Nutt

Maddy is a gravel cyclist from London, who has recently switched to pursuing the sport as a privateer, formerly racing on the road and gravel for Team Spectra.

She was late coming to the sport, getting into cycling aged 20. Fast forward 4 years where she now trains and races as a professional rider full time. She resigned from her city job at the end of 2021, focusing her full attention to cycling, excited to see what she can achieve with 100% dedication to the sport!

Some highlights from her 2022 season include winning the pro women’s category at Grinduro in Wales, as well as representing GB for the first time at the elite gravel world championships in Italy in October and placing 29th. This year she is hoping to make her mark on the international gravel scene and we can’t wait to support her to do this!

Tess Cakebread-Brown

Tess, AKA ‘Mud & No Make-up,’ is an Enduro Mountian Bike rider who trains and competes for the sheer joy of it. She only started MTBing at age 25 and has been sharing her story from the start via her Instagram page ‘mud_and_no_makeup’. Her main aim is to inspire others to be involved in the sport she loves so much!

“Hey there! 🙂 I’m Tess, an enduro MTB rider based in the northeast of England. I started riding quite late, at the age of 25, and have been sharing my journey primarily via Instagram (@mud_and_no_makeup). I have completely fallen in love with the sport as it keeps me fit and happy, as well as allowing me to visit amazing places and hang out with awesome people.

My main aim is to share the buzz of the sport and encourage more people to get involved. I also take part in the occasional race to push myself out of my comfort zone, ride at new locations and meet new people. You’ll also find lots of tips and how-to videos in my feed, which I hope will help on your own mountain bike journey 🙂

I chose to work with OTE as the better I fuel and hydrate, the stronger I feel and the longer I can be out enjoying the ride. I also use the protein powder to help my body recover after big days out and training sessions at the gym.”

Molly Butterworth

Molly Butterworth is a runner with an enthusiasm for all things health and fitness based, as she is also a qualified Strength and Conditioning coach. She competes in various running disciplines, including Track, Road and Cross Country, but specialises in 1500 metres on the track.

Find out below a bit about Molly’s sporting journey so far…

“Since taking up running at 13 I’ve been hooked. I’ve always loved racing and pushing my body to its limits! Unfortunately my 2022 season was cut short due to injury, but prior to this I achieved a place in the BUCS indoor final, a 7 second personal best in the 1500m and a bronze in the Northern Champs Senior 1500m. I’ve been lucky to be coached and mentored by some incredible individuals during a period of mental and physical struggle over the past year and am excited to bring all these lessons together after a big winter of training for my 2023 season.”

We are very excited to be supporting Molly in 2023, she has immense potential and we can’t wait to see what she can accomplish.
